Lucy Borja is a soulful, genre-blending artist from South Wales, known for her fearless lyricism and emotionally charged sound. Borja mixes R&B and Pop songs with influences from Latin pop and alternative dark pop. Described as “Heavy Painted in Light,” Borja’s music balances poetic vulnerability with striking resilience. With roots in professional acting during her childhood, Lucy brings a natural storytelling flair and theatrical edge to her songwriting and performances. Having lived in both London and the south of Spain, her sound is soaked in the textures of her travels. She’s unafraid to explore the realities of navigating the world as a lone woman, often addressing themes of escapism, self-discovery, and empowerment with a mix of grit and humour. Lyrically bold, Lucy plays with tone and irony to tackle hard truths, weaving her Celtic spirit, brave, expressive, and deeply emotional words, into every track.
